The purpose of this scholarship program is to provide post-graduate Kym’s Kids students with the opportunity to continue accumulaing funds for their higher education through community service.
The Kym’s Kids Program is committed to helping students succeed, achieve their goals, and give back to their communities.
In order to qualify and be eligible, students must be graduating Kym’s Kids high school seniors. They must also be enrolled in an accredited community, technical, vocational, or culinary college, or a four-year university for the academic school year following high school graduation.
*All seniors interested in participating in the post-graduate program must attend a mandatory orientation.
Between the dates of August 1 – June 15, students in the Post-Graduate Kym’s Kids Program must maintain the following:
Volunteer logs are to be recorded by the student, and submitted each school year to the Kym’s Kids office. Both minimum GPA and service hours must be met in order to receive your scholarship.
The Kym’s Kids Scholarship, received upon high school graduation, will be applied toward the students’ first year of full or part-time classes. This would be the accumulative amount of credit based on the previous years of high school participation in the program.
As a member of the Kym’s Kids Post-Graduate Program, the distribution of funds are as follows:

*Scholarship money accumulated through the students’ high school participation in the Kym’s Kids Program will be applied to their first year of college. Hours accumulated throughout that first year will be applied to the following year, not to exceed the first 3 years of college enrollment, reaching a maximum payout of $7,800.00.
Volunteer logs are to be recorded by the student, and submitted by the end of each school year to the Kym’s Kids office. Both minimum GPA and service hours must be met in order to receive your scholarship.
*If your service hours are not met, you will not be eligible for the scholarship funds, and will be withdrawn from the program.
*If your minimum GPA is below a 2.0, but your service hour requirement was completed, you will have another opportunity to earn your scholarship by increasing your GPA back to a minimum of 2.0. During the probationary period, students MUST document and show proof of regularly attending academic tutoring to improve their GPA.

Kym’s Kids was an amazing experience. I got to meet new people, especially at the events. It’s not just community service, it’s helping people. The scholarship helped me a lot because paying for college isn’t easy.
